Our Vision is to ‘Inspire People to Paddle’
Paddlesport is a great interactive and social sport that all members of the community should be able to enjoy. However, there are many perceived barriers that prevent people from trying or participating in the sport. Paddle Northern Ireland aims is to work closely with organisations to break down these barriers so that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, can feel welcome and comfortable to join. We aim to attract people from all backgrounds to paddle for health, enjoyment, friendship, challenge and achievement.
The Paddle Northern Ireland vision underpins everything we do. Our work is wide ranging from supporting individual, coach & club development, safety awareness, organising paddling events for new and existing paddlers, to advising and working with other organisations including Paddle UK and the National Associations, on governance and developing the future of the sport. The best way to support our work is to join us.
SUPPORT
By joining Paddle Northern Ireland you will add your voice to our existing members to help us support and develop paddlesports in Northern Ireland. We are only as strong as the members we represent and you will be part of the biggest paddling community in Northern Ireland.
Paddle Northern Ireland supports individual paddlers, clubs, coaches, providers, delivery partners and performance athletes to develop and grow in their sport. Our
Go Paddling website is a fantastic resource for recreational paddlers, an introduction to paddling, where to paddle, safety advice, blogs and so much more.
Courses and resources, with over 80 coaching, leading and personal performance awards there is something for everyone. In addition we have a range of digital resources including a Coach Self Analysis tool and a digital library packed full of e-learning, videos, podcasts and research.
