VOLUNTEERING

Paddle Northern Ireland is a membership organisation and volunteering is at the heart of our organisation and club activity, from club volunteers to Board and committee members we couldn’t do it without volunteers.

Our clubs, like most community sports clubs, rely heavily on volunteers and there are roles in every aspect of club life and many ways you can volunteer, even a small amount of time can make a big difference.

  • Coaching
  • Leading
  • Committees
  • Events
  • Club Administration and governance
  • On land or on the water

There are roles for people with different skills and across all age ranges. Without volunteers it would not be possible to run Paddle Northern Ireland, and paddling activities.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering benefits the volunteer as much as the person receiving the support. By volunteering you can boost your own wellbeing, whilst connecting with the community, and supporting people from all walks of life as they get afloat. Here are just a few benefits of volunteering:

  • Meeting new people and boosting your social skills.
  • Increasing your self-confidence and the confidence of others.
  • Boosting your mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Helping to create an inclusive and welcoming community.

Contact Paddle Northern Ireland or your local Paddlesport club to volunteer.
