Susan Burrows

Susan has over 20 years experience in the private sector with a focus on sales, marketing and business development and is currently with Thrive Audience Development who provide support to the Arts & Heritage Sector in NI. Susan is a regular visitor to Tollymore National Outdoor Centre where she developed her interest in rock climbing and paddling, leading her to take up sea kayaking in 2023 and is now a member of Mid Ulster Canoe & Kayak Club.

Susan believes it is more important than ever to connect (and reconnect) with the outdoors for health and well being and also for the future protection of outdoor facilities and spaces. Her focus will be on providing access to paddlesports for all and that it shouldn't be limited by soci-economic status, physical ability, race or background. Being a relative newcomer to kayaking herself she will also bring her first hand experience of the challenges of taking up the sport and inclusivity.
