Progressive Paddle Days 2025

Progressive Paddlesport Days for Coaches and Leaders

update 7th January 2025

Our Progressive Paddlesport days were launched at the end of December and places are booking up. Please see availability detailed below.


We plan to review the sessions at the end of this week and may make changes to the programme based on bookings. If you are planning to attend any of the sessions but haven't booked please book by 12.00pm on 9th January. If you are unable to book by the 9th but are interested in attending please send an expression of interest to admin@paddleni.org.uk.


If any of the sessions you are interested in are sold out please email Ben at admin@paddleni.org.uk  and we will try to accomodate any additional requests.

18th January 2025 -  Manoeuvre and Rough Water, Rock Hopping and Surf Skills - SOLD OUT

26th January 2025 -  Moving Water Skills - 2 places available

15 February 2025 -  Sea Kayak Safety and Rescue - 1 place available


White Water Kayak Progressive Days

19th January 2025 -  Playing the River - 5 places available

25th January 2025 - Safe Group Paddling and Safety and Rescue - 3 places available

16th February 2025 - Choosing Lines, Maintaining Momentum, Flaring and Boofing - 3 places available


Open Water Canoe Progressive Days

1st February 2025 - Traditional Paddling Style, Managing Wind and Sailing - 5 places available

8th March 2025 - Traditional Paddling Style, Managing Wind and Sailing - 6 places available


White Water Canoe Progressive Days

2nd February 2025 - Traditional Style, White Water Techniques, Poling, Lining/Tracking - 5 places available

9th March 2025 -   Traditional Style, White Water Techniques, Poling, Lining/Tracking - 3 places available

River Roe potential hazard

We have been made aware of a potential hazard on the River Roe. There is construction on a footbridge well below the Dog Leap which would present a significant risk particularly in a high flood. Please be aware of the hazard when considering paddling in this area
